It is with great enthusiasm that we introduce ourselves to you. The purchase of Pro Valor Charters, Ltd. was a special event for us, and hopefully one that becomes equally rewarding for you as you charter with us. Our mission to provide the highest quality of yacht maintenance to our yacht owners, and the best vacation experience to our charter guests, is something that we are deeply passionate about and take quite seriously.
Pro Valor Charters, Ltd. is owned and operated by Jim Gulczynski and his wife Cecilia Donegan. Jim has been a sailor all his life. His knowledge of sailboats (both mechanical and otherwise), along with his solid work ethic, promise to move maintenance and operations at PVC to new heights. As for Cecilia, her organizational skills, combined with her fondness for people, are sure to bring a richness to PVC unlike anything it's ever seen.
Working with Pro Valor Charters is Egbert Clarke, originally from Guyana, who Jim and Cecilia are thrilled chose to come our way. He brings many talents to PVC coming to us with 13+ years at Sunsail as a manager. His mechanical skills are already shining thru as he and Jim work to assure PVC presents the best charter yachts to you. We know he'll help bring PVC to a new level as never before enjoyed by our guests. We look forward to introducing him to you be it dockside or in the office.
We've also added Camique Osborne, from Tortola, BVI, to our front office staff as well as Mohan Karen (Keith), also from Guyana, a dock assistant to Jim and Egbert. We are "tickled pink" with their addition to our staff and hope they too find themselves happy working with PVC. We with a grand welcome to both of them!
We also work with cleaning ladies who do our boat cleaning for us.
We have already had the pleasure of meeting some of you face-to-face and look forward to that same opportunity with many others. We welcome the chance to get to know all of our yacht owners and charter guests on a personal and friendly level. After all, it is your business combined with our passion that will make Pro Valor Charters a success!

DIRECTIONS TO PRO VALOR
We are approximately two miles (5-10 minutes) from the Beef Island Airport (EIS). Cab fare will be approximately $5.00/person. We are located across the street from Emile's Restaurant at the Harbourview Marina Complex (HBV). You'll know you're at HBV as you'll notice all the buildings on both sides of the street at coral/salmon with olive green trim. Turn left into the parking lot and you'll see PVC's office on your left. All charter guests should check in at PVC's Office at HBV. All long-term owners arriving to board their yachts should report to the James Young Marina (JYM) (unless previously arranged otherwise). Be certain to tell the taxi driver to come to East End -- either HBV Dock or James Young -- don't say "Fat Hogs Bay" or you'll pay more for your taxi ride. Make sure they know "East End" ... According to new rates recently established, they will charge you more to go to Fat Hogs Bay.

The East End Rite Way Grocery Store is right next door to Pro Valor's Harbourview Dock. It offers great proximity and, as aresult, affords guests the opportunity to set sail in short order. They are open from 7:30 AM to 9 PM Monday thru Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 7 PM. Holidays have limited open hours. They now offer a deli counter, fresh meats, and their fruits and vegetables are "to die for." We're thrilled with the new Rite Way -- opened a good year by now and making great and new improvements all the time to meet their customers needs.
Ice in cubes (large and small bags) available at the grocery store. If they are sold out, we will run to Alphonsos' gas station to purchase cubes for you. We cannot purchase blocks on East End.

If you're interested in renting a car, be certain to call De De's Car Rental located on East End at 1-284-495-2041, dedescarrental@surfbvi.com. Be sure to ask for your Pro Valor Charters' discount when you advise that you're chartering with us. They will also deliver the car right to our marina (either Harbourview or James Young) and will allow you to leave it at the marina or airport at the end of your charter (provided you make these arrangements in advance).

CHARTER GUESTS ARRIVALS
Pro Valor intends to greet our guests as they arrive for charter. We can assure we'll be at dock for arrivals between 8 AM and 5 PM. However, those guests arriving after 5 PM will find a note on PVC's office door. The yacht will be on HBV's dock all the way to the end on the west side. Instructions for your first night aboard the yacht will be on the salon table. We will leave your Boat Phone along with a restroom key for you. Details on available restaurants will be included as well. Please note that most restaurants only serve food till 10 PM.
For those guests arriving after 6 PM, if you would like some basic groceries purchased for your first night, PVC will be happy to purchase those items and have them on board for you. Please be specific as to your intentions. Most guests enjoy a few cold beer(s) along with water and snacks to get you thru the nite. East End does not really have a breakfast restaurant so you should either plan for breakfast or shop next door at Rite Breeze. We will be here to meet you at 8:00 AM in the morning. Reminder: Rite Breeze grocery store (right next door) opens at 7:30 AM and closes at 9:00 PM M-S. Sundays they are open at 8 AM and close at 7:00 PM.
INTERNET ACCESS IN THE BVI
Pro Valor does not provide internet access for our guests in our office. Guests can use the internet at the HBV Marina thru Patouche Charters. Check in their office for details. You may also go to Penn's Landing (the home of both the Luna Lounge and Eclipse Restaurants) to use their cyber cafe. It is approximately a two-block walk from the Harbourview. We suggest you buy a drink or something to eat while sitting in their cyber cafe.
You may also use a computer at the Cyber Cafe at Trellis Bay, Beef Island (which is just two miles from our dock). Trellis Bay also has moorings and anchorage as well as restaurants and shops for your enjoyment.
FINAL DAY CHECKLIST
Thanks for chartering with Pro Valor Charters, Ltd. We are glad to have you here in paradise. To help make check out go smoothly we ask that the following requirements be met when you return the yacht to the Harbourview Marina:
Return to East End/Red Bay by 11:00 AM (unless prior arrangements were made),
Call 284 340-7258 (cell-Jim) or 284 340-4510 (cell-Egbert) for instructions as you approach our bay (rounding Buck Island). You will normally be asked to pull up to the T on Harbourview's Dock facing east with your fenders on port (a little bit higher than usual as HVB Dock is higher than normal),
PVC will top off the diesel (fee is # of gallons x $5.50/gallon),
Empty and rinse the refrigerator,
Place all unopened food and liquid on the galley countertop (not on salon table),
All food that you select for discard should be bagged and placed in front of PVC's office door. Leave no garbage on board and remember to check the lazarette where you might have stashed away garbage and/or empty water jugs. Any food that's opened and partially eaten that you would like us to deliver to the Human Society, we'd be happy to do just that. Examples: (crackers, snacks, fruit (even if it's ripened a bit too far for human desires), fruit cups, cereal, etc.) Garbage may be left in front of PVC's office door and we will take care of disposing,
Put all linens into pillow cases or laundry bag, if provided, and place in salon area,
Pump each toilet 25 times,
Inform PVC of any problems you may have experienced with the yacht and any items that were broken or misplaced during your charter,
Wash all dishes, pots, pans and coffee pot and return to their proper place,
Please be ready to disembark by 1 PM at latest,
Guests departing prior to 8 AM on final day need to return to Fat Hog's Bay the prior day for debriefing. These departures must be scheduled with PVC. We encourage those guests that want a check-out the night before to come into the bay by 4 PM at latest (in order to get the briefing done b4 dark),
Once you’ve disembarked, PVC will do a quick inspection and debriefing of the yacht, refuel the yacht, and collect payment for refueling. Payment can be made by cash, traveler's cheques or credit card.
If you're unable to meet any of these requirements, you will be charged $100. against your insurance deposit.
If you would like to share a group picture with us by e-mail, we'll be happy to post on our website. Additionally, we are grateful for any comments of referral that we might post to our website.
We thank you for chartering with Pro Valor and trust your sailing ventures will be talked about for years to come. We wish you safe travel wherever your next destination may be and hope our paths cross again soon. As you know, we welcome any opportunity to work with you on your next BVI charter.
Remember there is a $20.00 departure tax when you fly out of the BVI. This must be paid in cash.
